What this website stores on your device, what loads only after you accept, and how to change your choice. Benchbee Limited (Ireland, CRO 769682) also publishes our privacy policy and our website terms of use. For a question about your data, write to us through our contact page.
The parties
Benchbee Limited, (hereinafter referred to as “Benchbee”), an Irish registered number bearing CRO number 769682, with its registered office located at Block 1, Blanchardstown Corporate Park, Dublin, Ireland
The EU General Data Protection Regulations, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the e-Privacy Regulations apply to this Cookie Policy.
Benchbee suggest that you read this Cookie Policy in conjunction with our Privacy Policy. This Cookie Policy sets out what data Benchbee collect using Cookies, the purpose of collecting this data and how long Benchbee store the data.
What are cookies
Cookies are small data files placed on the website user’s (hereinafter, the “Users” and, individually, “User”) internet enabled device our website to add functionality. A cookie can be used to identify a User’s internet enabled device to the website, or to other third-party websites. This allows the website to improve the way it works, such as remembering preferences expressed by a User or tracking a User’s use of a website for statistical analysis.
During your visits to this Website, cookies may be installed on your terminal equipment. A cookie is stored on your device for no longer than the period defined in the section “Types of Cookies Used” below.
During your first visit to our Website, you will be displayed with a banner providing you with information about the cookies used. You will be asked to accept or refuse the use of certain cookies. Only cookies which are strictly necessary are accepted by default; statistical cookies are set only if you press Accept. If you do not wish to accept cookies or wish to refuse only certain cookies, you can modify your browser settings as appropriate at any time.
What type of cookies are used on this site
Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are required to allow the User to use the website, to move between pages and to receive services which have been requested. These cookies do not require your consent and are by default accepted under the E-Privacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336 of 2011 – the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011).
The one item this Website stores itself is your choice on the cookie banner, kept in your browser's local storage under the name bb-consent, so that the banner does not ask again on every page. It holds the choice, a version number and the date; nothing else.
Performance cookies
These cookies collect information about how the User uses a website such as which pages they have visited, and which links they have clicked on. This information will not be used to identify the User. The purpose of these cookies is to improve functionality of the website.
Your consent is required for the use of these cookies. Rejecting or disabling performance cookies signifies that some functionalities of this Website may not be offered to you.
The performance cookies this Website uses are those of Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, described in the next two sections. Apart from the demo booking page described after them, this Website does not use functionality or advertising cookies.
Audience measurement: Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4
If you press "Accept" on the cookie banner, the Website loads Google Tag Manager, which in turn loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-R5E7N3H962), both provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Nothing is loaded before you accept, and nothing is loaded if you reject.
Google Analytics 4 sets the cookies _ga and _ga_R5E7N3H962 on your device for up to 13 months. They hold a random identifier that distinguishes your browser from others; they do not hold your name, your email address or anything you type into the Website. With them we count visits, see which pages are read and which buttons are pressed (sign up, book a demo, contact us), and where visitors come from. The measurement is set to "analytics only": advertising storage and advertising personalisation stay switched off, Google Signals is off, and IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4.
The data is processed by Google under the Google Analytics terms and Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy); transfers to the United States rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the standard contractual clauses in Google's data processing terms. Benchbee keeps the analytics data for 14 months.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, by clearing this Website's site data in your browser (the banner then asks again) or by blocking the cookies named in these two sections in your browser settings; the Website then works exactly as before. Rejecting the banner has the same effect as never accepting.
Audience measurement: Microsoft Clarity
If you press "Accept", Google Tag Manager also loads Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. Clarity shows us where visitors click and scroll (heatmaps) and lets us replay a visit as an anonymous recording, so we can see where a page confuses people. What you type into a form, and any text that could identify someone, is masked in the recordings; the page content itself is visible. Clarity receives no names, email addresses or message contents, and no recording can be tied to a person.
Clarity sets the cookies _clck (kept for 1 year) and _clsk (kept for 1 day) on your device; they hold a random identifier for your browser and the current visit. Nothing is loaded before you accept, and nothing is loaded if you reject. Clarity receives the same consent signal as Google Analytics: measurement allowed, advertising refused. Microsoft's processing is governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement (https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement).
Third-party content: demo booking
The demo page (/book-a-demo) shows a booking page provided by Google (Google Calendar appointment scheduling), operated by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The booking page is loaded from calendar.google.com inside a frame as soon as the demo page opens, because booking a demo is what that page is for; it is loaded on no other page of the Website, and the contact page (/contact) loads nothing from Google. A link next to the frame opens the same booking page in a new browser tab.
When the frame loads, Google may set cookies and process data under its own responsibility, including your IP address, browser information and, if you are signed in to a Google account, your account identifiers. If you book a time, the details you enter (name, email address, company name, whether you are a recruitment agency or a consultancy, your role and your country) are sent to Google and stored in Benchbee's Google Workspace calendar to arrange the meeting; they are not stored by this Website. Google's processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and Google's cookie information (https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies).
Loading the booking page is necessary to provide the booking service the demo page offers. If you prefer not to load Google content, do not open the demo page: send a message from the contact page or email us, the address is on the contact page and in the footer of every page.
Spam protection on the contact form: Cloudflare Turnstile
When you start filling in the contact form, the Website loads Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc., to check that the message comes from a person. It is loaded on the contact page only, never before you use the form. Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser information for this check under its own privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/). This check is necessary to provide the contact form and does not require your consent.
Consent and Management of Cookies
Under data protection legislation Benchbee requires your consent for the use of all cookies except for cookies which are deemed to be strictly necessary.
The website will seek the User’s express consent to cookies upon entering the website and the User can withdraw or change their consent at any stage with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page, which opens the cookie banner again.
Users can also turn off acceptance of Cookies in their browser. Please refer to the help function in the browser for further information on this. In order to update your Cookies preferences, use the Cookie settings link in the footer.
The disabling of cookies will not affect your ability to access and view our website.
However, please be advised that disabling some/all the cookies may reduce functionality of the website and may interfere with using all of the website’s features
Review of the Cookies Policy
We reserve the right to make any changes and corrections to this Cookie Policy. We invite you to refer to this page regularly to check current and new, additional information. The last revision of this policy was made on 12 October 2026 (added the sections on the audience measurement with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, and the section on the embedded demo booking page, which loads with the demo page; then named Cloudflare Turnstile and the bb-consent choice, and added the Cookie settings link).
