BenchBee opens to IT recruitment agencies
Agencies can now post the IT jobs their clients need filled. Consultancies still decide who they talk to.

Since June 2026, IT recruitment agencies can join BenchBee through a separate Agency portal. They post the IT jobs their clients need filled, free and without limit, and verified IT consultancies with a consultant who fits send them a match request. The first 3 accepted matches are free, then the agency uses one credit per match it accepts, and BenchBee takes no commission on the placement. Agencies cannot browse profiles or contact anyone, so consultancies stay in control.

What's new
Until now, BenchBee was a network of IT consultancies only. Consultancies list the consultants they have between projects and post the roles they cannot staff, and the network matches the two.
Recruitment agencies that specialise in IT (software, data, ERP, compliance, project management) can now join too. They bring the jobs. Consultancies with someone on the bench answer them.
Why BenchBee opened to agencies
A network like this works when a consultant between projects meets a role that fits. For most of BenchBee's life, there were more consultants available than open roles: consultancies list their bench more readily than they post their gaps.
IT recruitment agencies have the opposite problem. They hold the roles their clients need filled, and many of the people who would fit are permanently employed by IT consultancies. Employed consultants never show up on job boards or "open to work" lists, so the search starts from people who are looking, not from people who are available.
Opening to agencies does not change what BenchBee is: a network for IT consultancies, with agencies as guests who bring work.
BenchBee used to say "no recruiters". The point was never the people. It was the commission between two firms, and that stays: there is no commission on any match, for anyone.
How it works for agencies
- Post your job. Paste your job description and it becomes a clear listing. Posting is free and unlimited. Your agency name stays hidden, and your end client is never named on BenchBee.
- Matching consultancies come to you. Verified IT consultancies with an available consultant who fits send you a match request. Sending it reveals the consultancy to you, so you see who is asking before you decide. You don't search, and nobody can cold-call you.
- Accept and get introduced. Accepting reveals both firms and opens a conversation on BenchBee, with the history kept for both. You talk to the consultancy itself, often its founder, MD or head of resourcing, and arrange interviews between the two firms. The rate, the NDA and the contract are agreed directly, on your paper. BenchBee is not a party to the deal.
Who sees what at each step:

What agencies cannot do is as deliberate as what they can. An agency cannot browse consultant profiles, send a match request, message a consultancy first, or list its own contractors. Client details are yours to share, under NDA, when you choose. How to write a job that gets answered without naming the client: How to share a role on BenchBee without naming your client. What stays the same for consultancies
The question consultancies ask first: will I get spammed by recruiters? No. The rules are built so that cannot happen.
- Only consultancies start a conversation. An agency waits for your match request. Nobody can contact you or your consultants unless you sent a request and it was accepted.
- Agencies cannot see your bench. They cannot browse profiles, and they never see your company name unless you send them a request.
- Agency jobs are marked. A job posted by an agency is shown as an agency job, so you know who you are dealing with before you send anything.
- A match is a match. A match on an agency job counts like any other, including towards your first 3 free matches.
What changes is the number of open roles your bench can see. Agencies hold IT roles from clients a consultancy would rarely reach on its own, and each one is a chance to put a benched consultant back on billed work. The agency's margin is already priced into its posting, so the day rate on the card is the rate you bill. Agencies also cannot list consultants, so they add jobs to the network without competing with your bench.
Companies stay hidden until they choose to reveal themselves: sending a match request reveals the sender, and accepting reveals both. How it works · BenchBee for consultancies.
What it costs agencies
Posting jobs is free and unlimited. Your first 3 accepted matches are free. After that, you use one credit per match you accept, and a credit is spent at acceptance, whether or not the match turns into a placement. Credits never expire, and there is no subscription, no contract and no minimum.
BenchBee takes no commission. The placement fee is yours, in full. Prices and packs: pricing for agencies.
